Masquerade Lite

Welcome to the 2011 Summer Matsuri “Masquerade Lite!” What is a mini con with out a mini masquerade? So we have a fun and more informal version of the con classic.

Rules

Sign ups for the Summer Matsuri “Masquerade Lite” will be at the door and be on a first come first serve basis.
There will be sign ups spots for if you wish to present a Skit as or Walk-on. If you wish to pre record please bring a CD with your music/ recoding with you to sign ups.
AAC is a Japanese Animation convention, but we will not be limiting it to Japanese Animation and Video Games for the “Masquerade Lite.” We will except all characters.
AAC is a family friendly convention, so please keep everything PG-13. Any rude behavior will not be tolerated, and will result in your disqualification from the event and possible dismissal from the Convention.

Divisions

Beginner is for individuals or groups who have won 0-2 awards.
Seasoned is for more experienced individuals or groups who have won 3+ awards.

You can always choose to compete at a higher level than you qualify. For example, if you think the quality of your skit or costume is above the usual standards of Beginner level, due to extra preparation, a more ambitious project, stage experience, etc, then you can feel free to participate at the Seasoned level.

Awards

There will be Presentation Awards as well as Craftsmanship. If you wish to competed in Craftsmanship then your costume must have been made by you or someone in your group. We ask that you bring a reference picture so we can judge your accuracy. Presentation Awards will be given based on what you do on stage.

AAC has a "You Break it, You Bought it." policy. If you break any piece of equipment, deface the facilities, or cause any other damages, then you pay to replace what you damaged. No exceptions. To help prevent damages, please simply be mindful when you are on the stage. Be aware of floor microphones, cables, speakers, curtains, screens, etc.
